SCPK9A  sponsored a K-9 Seminar Hosted by the Richland County Sheriffs Department in Columbia South Carolina , October 2008

Nic Westric and TJ Westric of the Royal Dutch Police and KNPV  came from the Netherlands were the main instructors.

The Seminar covered Criminal Apprehension, Drug Detection, Explosive Detection, Tracking, Building Searches, Decoy Instruction

October 2007 SCPK9A Sponsored a seminar in north charleston sc, thanks to dondi, nic, tj, dereck and jimmy

january 2007, SCPK9A Sponsored a k-9 decoy seminar held at the state fair grounds in columbia sc. everyone had a good time and learned a lot and survived the unexpected cold weather and snow. many thanks to mr. dondi hydrick and sgt. angle vargas the head instructors.

Members of the SCPK9A participated in the 1st low country k-9 trials 19-20 may 2006, hosted by the Us air force security forces, charleston air force base. All 16 trophies, in all five categories ( obedience/agility, narcotic and explosive detection, area search and patrol)  were won by members of the scpk9a. job well done!!!!!!   

AUGUST 1ST WAS WAS THE FIRST SCPK9A STATE WIDE TRAINING DAY. EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TIME AND PARTICIPATED IN QUALITY TRAINING WITH LARGE QUANTITY HIDES OF BOTH NARCOTICS AND EXPLOSIVES. ALONG WITH PATROL WORK. tHANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED AND HELP MAKE IT A SUCCESS.

Check here in the future for Members submitted for large narcotic or explosive seizures, lengthy /difficult tracks of suspects or missing persons, evidence recovery, apprehensions of felons or acts of bravery. If you know of any members of SCPK9A that you would like to be recognized, submit in writing who, what, when, where and why a SCPK9A member should be recognized, to any Executive Committee member.
